![]() ![]() Establishes operating plans for the safe, secure, and legal detention of inmates. Monitors operating practices, inmate programs, and facility maintenance functions to assure compliance with State and Federal standards. Assists in the planning, organizing, and directing inmate detention, security, and reintegration program function of the County Jail. Administers the provisions of the union contract and Employee Handbook. Applies the union contract and Employee Handbook provisions. Assures and assigns appropriate staffing levels and absences. Reviews time and attendance submissions of jail staff for accuracy and completeness prior to submitting to Human Resources.Completes necessary reports that document training hours. Develops and implements both curriculum and lesson plan that validates training hours. Serves as training instructor for new and veteran officers. Determines divisional training needs, develops, and implements programs to achieve annual training requirements, and to ensure compliance with State rules and guidelines. Analyzes staffing levels, staff morale, employee retention and recruitment. Identifies issues of staff productivity and workplace effectiveness. Develops job descriptions, creates requisitions, reviews, and selects applications, conducts interviews, recommends candidate for hire. Participates in the hiring and promotional process for all jail staff. Conducts or coordinates internal investigations and makes recommendations on disciplinary actions. Receives complaints from staff, inmates, residents, or other agencies. Creates and manages performance improvement plans and goals. Completes, reviews, and conducts employee performance appraisals in a timely manner. Takes necessary steps to correct personnel and performance concerns. ![]() Along with the Jail Administrator, provides senior-level leadership, supervision, and direction to the jail division staff. Supervises and monitors jail staff work performance.Inmates will be notified if these changes occur. The visitation schedule, days and times may change due to circumstances beyond the jail staff's control.Friday, Saturday and Sunday only twenty (20) minutes visits will be allowed, unless there are no scheduled visits, which officers will advise and can make an exception. Visitation will be scheduled accordingly Monday through Sunday, beginning at 7 am and ending at 9 pm.Inmate will be required to wear their mask to visitation also. Due to only one inmate being pulled out at a time, there will be no restriction on whether male or female, or classification.This will include alternating phone hall sides. Officers will disinfect the visitation area after the conclusion of the visit and there will at least be a thirty (30) minute separation between visits.Hand sanitizer will be at the lobby window and all visitors will be required to sanitize their hands upon entry to the visitation area. ![]() No phones or electronic items will be allowed. No food, drink, candy, purses, bags or any carrying device is allowed in the visitation area. Visitors are required to arrive ten minutes prior to their scheduled visit to sign in.All visitors will wear masks, exceptions will only be made based on CDC guidelines.Any misconduct or violation of the facility rules may result in disciplinary action. ![]() At no time will children be unattended and if children leave the assigned visitation area/seating, the visitation will be terminated.
